Ever imagine a ‘Swiss Army bicycle'? How about trimming your Christmas tree with mortar-launched decorations? Want to have your ashes launched into outer space when you die? If your answer to any of those questions is “Hell Yeah!” you are a man, and this is the perfect television series for you. Best known as one of the three gear-heads who host the popular British TV car show, Top Gear, James May returns with a second season of man-centric experiments that are equal parts education, inspiration and entertainment. The show has May posing simple questions, like what would it take to build a boat, then answering them with a combination of science, art and chutzpah. Not all of his experiments are pretty to look at, and some of them may not be legal to do without permits (if at all), but they are all the perfect eye candy for any man who thinks he has the skill to DIY anything. The only thing missing from the show is a website link to tell you how you can get a cool pool table like the one the Man Lab built sent to you home … already assembled.
