Easy Money

Although he comes from a poor family, JW (Joel Kinnama) has big plans for his future, plan that will need a lot more money to make real than he can ever hope to earn even when he graduates from business school. So when a local drug kingpin offers him a chance to make some fast money by laundering his cash, JW grabs it with both hands. Although he gets to live the life he always dreamed of, the reality of working for a gangster soon slaps him upside the head and JW is forced to revaluate his future…if he even has a future to think about once the bullets stop flying. Director DaniĆ©l Espinosa (Safe House) does a good job of drawing the audience in to the story, seducing us with the trappings of wealth that hook JW so deep, He’s just as good at shattering the glitzy image with some well-choreographed violence.
